About the author/lyricist:

William Drake holds master's degrees in both Latin and Economics, and has been a teacher and professor in the Dallas area for over 25 years. He is an elder at Household of Faith Church in Garland, where he is also the Worship Pastor. His interests include blue grass music and playing varied unique instruments such as recorder and mandolin. Mr. Drake has written several the scripts and lyrics to dramatic musicals. The most recent, A Voice is Calling, completed a successful run in Dallas in Fall 2001.

About the composer:

Aurelia Drake, William’s lovely wife, has been teaching, performing, and composing for over 25 years. Her compositions feature a wide variety of rich musical textures, from Middle Eastern sounds with hammered dulcimer to full orchestral arrangements. She is involved in the music ministry of Household of Faith Church. The Drakes live in Grapevine and have two grown sons.

About the director:

Ana Clark is the Fine Arts director of Quo Vadis Educators, a ministry for home-school families, and has written and produced numerous one-act and full length plays with children, youth, and adults. Her directing credits include Anne of Green Gables, Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, and Cheaper by the Dozen, performed recently at Eastfield College. She is active in her church through music, drama, and education as well as women’s ministries. Ana and her husband Byron have eight children.

About the troupe:

Damascus Road Theatre Company is a collaboration of many talented performers from the metroplex with backgrounds in drama, music, art, dance, and costume design. DRTC seeks to honor God through the art of drama. It is their desire to reach out to the metroplex with wholesome entertainment of the highest quality. In addition, the company solicits talented individuals who favor a drama outlet focusing on uplifting themes and high moral values.
