We are waiting for approval from MISD. Mrs. Allison seemed
quite warm when Annie Falconer talked with her last week, but said the
MISD wanted to see the invitations we would be sending out before they
would give approval. Annie was going to fax it to them Saturday the
28th of Sept.
With approval, we are looking at starting on the 10th of Oct. Thursday.
We are looking at a tentative date of Oct 12th at Eagles Landing. That is
a Saturday and probably 10:30-11:30.
Mrs. Johnson and her husband are on vacation and so the start date
there is mid Oct depending on Mrs. Johnson.
Remember all involved in your prayers and know that God is in control and
He so desires for the little children to come unto Him.

CEF Prayer update 10/12/02
Thursday, Oct. 10, was the first GNC at Price School.
There were 30 children. Jay Johnson opened with prayer, Cara Craggett
taught the bible story and Grace Moore taught the missionary story. Susan
Moore did the memory verse.
There were new faces and many of the
students from last spring. Praise God! The children were very attentive
when Godıs word was taught. Isnıt our God good?
Please continue to be praying for this important
outreach.
On Saturday, Oct 19 (next Saturday) we begin the GNC at Eagles Landing at
10:30 AM.
Your prayers are coveted for the children's hearts to be drawn to hear the
word as well as the parents who will be welcomed.
Also pray for the workers and also that there will be a few good men who
will demonstrate the importance of the Lord in their lives. (there are
many children who do not have a steady man in their lives and they need to
know that it is important for men as well as women to do the Lordıs work)
Keep CEF in your prayers, as there is financial need especially because
the ministry has grown so this year (praise the Lord for that!).
Also keep Allen school district in your prayers. As of last week,
they have refuse to let CEF in.
Thank you all for your prayers. You have already seen how the Lord listens
and works when we pray. so letıs continue and know that His Word NEVER
comes back void!!
Donıt forget 9AM Sunday mornings before church service for a time we can
take time to intercede to our Lord for the children.

CEF PRAYER UPDATE
Thursday, the GNC at Price was great! There were 42 children who listened
attentively to Cara tell the story of Peter, Grace gave the
missionary story and Susan presented the memory verse.
The main theme was Ephesians 4:29 "Do not let any
unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for
building others up according to their needs,...."
Peter loved the Lord Jesus, but still denied Him 3 times!!
A good lesson for us to put on the "whole armor of God"
That we need!!
Two setbacks occurred this week.
Margie Payne canceled the club which was to take place on Saturday
morning. She planned to drive from Cedar Hill on Saturday to be there and
couldnıt because of a funeral she had to attend.
Please pray about trying to do a club that wonıt cause her problems.
Possible change of time or allowing someone else to be there instead of
her.
Second setback was that Mrs. Dorothy Johnson is not able to have the club
this fall due to her schedule. She said maybe in 2003, the first of the
year. Please pray about that.
"Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more that all we
ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us."
So let us remember that and pray without ceasing.

Good News Club News and Prayer Needs
"Every great movement of God can be traced to a kneeling figure."
--D.L.Moody
This last week has been such a victory!!
God is showing how He is in control!!
On Thursday, the GNC at Price went well with the children attentively listening
to the words and stories about God and His people.
The important message given by Jay and Loretta Johnson was that the day called "Halloween" by some, is still the day and the night the Lord has made and we will rejoice and be glad!!
Saturday, even though the weather was damp and meeting place at the apartments were changed more than once, and one of the teachers (Beka) was ill, Godıs control was apparent because there were 21 children at the GNC and one accepted the Lord!! Many of the children had been to club when we had it last summer. We have so much to thank our God for.
Please continue to pray for the children and the teachers.

CEF NEWS 11/10/02
What a faithful God we have!
Thursday afternoon at Price went very well and so did Saturday morning at
Eagleıs Landing Apartments.
At both Places the children were attentive and seemed to soak up the
stories about Our God and His people.
This week at Price we start a new series of stories about our Lord Jesus
Christ, called Jesus Our Savior and Friend.
That very series is being taught now at the apts. and the children seem to
really like hearing about our Lord!!
Jay Johnson, who has been so faithful was not able to attend on Thursday
and God sent Ira Jackson!! It just happened and no one notified Ira, he
just felt led to come!!
Isn't our God faithful? He also sent Andy Warren to the apartments.
Many of the children have no male figures in their lives or ones that
come and go and not anyone permanent and so having these men come to
the clubs is so important.
As iron sharpen iron, so one man sharpens another.-Proverbs
27:17
Most of us have had good father figures to look up to
which helps us appreciate our Heavenly Father even more, but that is not
true of many of these sweet young people and it is not their fault. So a
special thank you to those men who come to the clubs.
Please continue to pray for or come to the clubs.
Jesus said,
"Behold, I say to you, lift up your
eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest!"
John 4:35

Good News Club "News"
and prayer requests
There were about 20 children in attendance at Price School. Grace
continued with the stories of Godıs Creation and going through
stories of Jesus.
Cara taught the missionary story. Loretta Johnson gave out gifts for the
children who were the most attentive.
Be in prayer for the club next week which will be the Valentines party and
Ruth will be teaching the story of the "Girl nobody loved".
Yesterday, Ruth taught the story to the children at Eagles Landing.
Valentines bags were giving to each child and they included a valentine
tract.
Please keep the club at Eagles Landing in special prayer. A spirit of
rebellion seems to be prevailing and though we had Steven Montgomery
and Andy Warren bravely assisting, the children just couldnıt sit still
and listen. Please pray for the Lordıs peace to dominate. We want the
children to be eager to hear the Word and to understand the Wonder of His
Word.
We are also requesting any who feel led, to donate to a fund we are
starting to get bibles for those who do not have them.
On Thursday morning Susan and Nancy had a chance to
share with other teachers in the Dallas area about challenges and
encouragement in working with the clubs. It was led by Annie
Falconer. It was definitely an encouraging time and plans are to
continue to meet once a month.

15, 2003 Good News Club News and Prayer request
Thursday at Price school, the valentines party had 43 children and it was
obvious they had a good time!!
Ruth told a really special valentines story.
Loretta and Jay Johnson led in a relay race that the children really
seemed to like.
Gift bags were handed out and a good time was had by all.
Pray that the increased number would continue and that those all would
hear and accept the Word.
The apartments at Eagleıs Landing went well. There were fewer children
this time and new rules for discipline and with Andy and Steven helping to
enforce the rules, it was so clear that the children were listening to Godıs
Word!!
Two children prayed to ask the Lord Jesus into their hearts!!
Please keep the clubs, the children and teachers in your prayers.

when I called to You for help." Psalm 31:22b

News Club
March 01, 2003
Both clubs at Price and Eagleıs Landing went well.
One eight year old girl asked the Lord into her heart at Eagles
Landing.
Please continue to be praying for the clubs.
The story of Noah will be taught at Price and plans are being made for the
rest of the year. Please pray for Godıs wisdom in this area.
At Eagles Landing, we all are thanking the Lord for the young men who are
so faithful to come and work with the children.
They are an answer to prayer.
Please pray for continued interest and enthusiasm for all the workers.
Those who are involved will readily testify that they are blessed.
Please continue to pray for CEF, as there is almost an emergency situation
because of financial needs. There is a $18,000 shortfall.
"As a result, we are facing severe cutbacks in operating expenses for
the local office, even including salary for our director Connie Zimmerman,
and our two full-time missionaries, Brian and Annie." quote
from February letter.
If any is called by the Lord to give in this area the address is

Good News!!
Update and prayer requests for 4/6/03
Thursday GNC went well with Grace teaching the lesson on Isaac and Ruth
teaching the missionary story. There were about 20 in attendance. Three
children have asked Jesus into their heart in the last month!! Praise God!
Saturdays GNC at Eagles Landing had 18 in attendance. Please pray
that the all the children there, would be there to hear Godıs Word
and that it would not be just a place to go a get a donut on Saturday
morning.
Pray for those assisting that it be remembered that "God's word never
comes back void."
The teens in CYIA are preparing now for summer camp and 5 days clubs.
Please keep these faithful teens in your prayers.
Please keep all the workers and the children in your prayers. We covet
your prayers for wisdom, strength, patience and discernment and most
importantly, seeing the children through God's eyes.

News Club
Club at Price school continues to go well. The children are growing and
learning about our God.
It is so evident by their attentiveness and the questions they ask.
We are about to be through until fall.
Please pray that the children would hold Godıs word in their hearts this
summer.
On Saturday, Ruth taught the story of Magudu, a Nigerian boy who shares
"The Wordless Book" with his family and friends. Each child was
given a wordless book and a challenge to go and tell at least one other
person about the wonderful story of God's love.
This Thursday at Price, Ruth will be teaching the same story. Please pray
that there would be a real hunger for the children to tell others about
our awesome God!!
We hope to continue with the club at Eagleıs Landing except for month of
June when the CYIA camp is going on.
Please pray that the Lord would provide the financial needs for all the
teens going to CYIA camp in June.
